Ian has been at the helm of Lobster Place since 2002, taking over when his parents, Rod and Joan, retired. Since then, Ian has led the company’s transformation from a mom-and-pop seafood market to a diverse and prosperous family of businesses including LP Hospitality Group and the specialty food distributor LP Seafood and Specialty. Ian has established the “LP” brands as icons of the New York City food and restaurant industry by building a cohesive and dedicated leadership team and maintaining a focus on the growth, care, and development of the company’s people. Ian graduated with a BS from the United States Coast Guard Academy and began his professional career with 5 years of active duty in the US Coast Guard. After taking over Lobster Place, he received an MBA from NYU Stern, attending classes at night.
